The Ferret’s 4 October 2026 gig pulls together a broad rock bill with Kansan emo math pop group Chess Club at the top. Having previously played the venue, they return as headliners, bringing material from records like “You’re Lucky I Like You” and “Hi Sad” to an audience primed for intricate emo and math-inflected hooks. They are joined by Destroya, The Jackpot Golden Boys, Brok and Parisella, giving the night a mix of local and touring flavours. As an early stop in the 20th Birthday Weekender, it foregrounds emo within the wider rock-leaning programme.
