The Smyths The Queen Is Dead
Friday, October 23, 2026 - O2 Academy, Leicester
The Smyths launch The Queen Is Dead tour at O2 Academy Leicester on 23 October 2026, kicking off a run of UK O2 Academy dates presented by academyevents. This opening show centres on The Smyths’ live tribute to The Smiths’ classic album, framed by the atmosphere of a compact Academy room. Billy Blagg joins the bill in support, adding another strain of guitar-driven rock to the night. With the tour rolling straight on to Liverpool the following day, Leicester marks the first chance to catch this Queen Is Dead-focused performance at close quarters.
