The Ferret marks its 20th Birthday Weekender on 4 October 2026 with The Chess Club topping an emo-centred bill. The Kansan emo math pop group bring intricate, emotionally charged songwriting that has shaped albums like “You’re Lucky I Like You”, “Hit the Ball” and “Hi Sad”. Joining them at The Ferret in the United Kingdom are Parisella, The Jackpot, Golden Boys, Brok and Destroya, building a multi-artist line-up around The Chess Club’s detailed emo sound. It is a rare chance to hear their knotty, melodic approach in an intimate UK setting for the venue’s anniversary celebrations.
