• Fat Freddy’s Drop Presents Celebration of the 21st anniversary of Based on a True Story

On 20 October 2026, O2 Academy Leeds hosts Fat Freddy’s Drop Presents Celebration Of The 21st Anniversary Of Based On A True Story. The show is built around the enduring pull of "Based On A True Story", revisiting the album two decades after its original release. Positioned in the middle of the venue’s October run, the date contrasts with the indie rock and experimental bookings on surrounding nights, underlining the record’s distinct place in modern music. Fans can expect the Leeds performance to focus squarely on that landmark album within the band’s wider live repertoire.
