Simply Red Summer Funk 27

Friday, August 7, 2026 - Racecourse, Chester

Summer Funk 27 begins at Chester Racecourse on 7 August 2026, with Simply Red launching the run in open-air surroundings. The band draw on their blue-eyed soul, pop and dance-pop catalogue, mixing pop soul with smoother soft rock touches. Following their 40th Anniversary Tour, these shows arrive after the album "Time" and ahead of "Recollections", giving the setlist plenty of material to pull from different eras. As the first stop before The Piece Hall dates, this opening performance sets the tone for the rest of the August schedule across racecourses and parks.
