Ovo Hydro hosts the first of two Simple Minds shows with Gary Numan on 14 May 2027. Returning to Scotland, Simple Minds bring their art rock, electronic flourishes, glam rock edges and new wave rhythms to an arena they know well. Gary Numan’s support slot adds dark wave intensity, built from thick synthesisers, electronic rock structures and widescreen electronica. As the penultimate stop of the eight-date run and the opening half of a Glasgow double-header, this gig sets up the closing night while giving both acts room to expand their synth-heavy catalogues on home-turf scale.
