Castle Park Colchester hosts the 18 August 2027 stop of Summer Funk ’27, placing Simply Red’s blue-eyed soul and pop soul at the centre of a multi-artist bill. Lisa Stansfield keeps the melodic focus sharp with her own blue-eyed soul and dance-pop. Heather Small’s presence adds a clear house streak to the night, her set pivoting on dance-pop structures, while Soul Ii Soul contribute contemporary R&B, house and soul. Coming straight after Scarborough, the Colchester show continues the tour’s run of outdoor spaces tuned to groove-led pop, with each act exploring a different corner of UK soul and dance.
