Sea Bastard bring their Brighton-born sludge and doom metal to Dust, drawing on cavernous cuts like "Scabrous" and "The Hermit" for a slow, punishing set. The band’s bleak, drawn-out riffs and oppressive atmospheres find a natural pairing with Black Groove, whose mix of doom, black metal and punk edges, as heard on "Low End Scum", adds extra abrasion to the bill. Kalopsia complete the line-up, deepening the underground metal focus of this Dead Letter show and turning Dust into a concentrated hit of heavy, down-tuned noise for those drawn to the bleakest ends of metal.
