The Hope & Ruin hosts a tightly wound clash of punk and ska as Dakka Skanks team up with Faintest Idea. Dakka Skanks draw on hard reggae, ska, dub and punk, channelling the energy that has carried them from their album "Road To Brighton Pier" through singles like "Ska Rhythm" and "In Control" to the 2025 "Reworks" EP. Faintest Idea bring brass-driven punk and ska, rooted in records such as "The Road to Sedition" and their "Live Session" EP. Together they line up an evening of politically sharp lyrics, heavy grooves and brisk, dancefloor-leaning rhythms.
