Alligator Gumbo bring their jazz-inflected sound back to Matt and Phreds on 29 August 2026 for a focused headline show. Active since 2011, the band draw on classic early jazz, revisiting material from their 2015 album "Jamboree" and favourites such as "St. Louis Blues", "Sweet Georgia Brown" and "Muskrat Ramble". Having previously headlined the same venue in July 2025 and returning again in 2026, they have built a close connection with the Matt and Phreds crowd, using energetic stagecraft and a feel for traditional jazz to rework standards with a lively, ensemble-driven swing.
