The Brand New Heavies support, deepening the rhythmic focus with their acid jazz, funk and jazz-inflected catalogues honed in UK halls and theatres. Opening the show, James Emmanuel introduces a contemporary soul voice shaped by his Nigerian-Scottish background and recent support slots with the headliners. Across the three sets, the closing night pulls together different strands of groove-based music from across the past few decades.
