Abba, Bee Gees and Donna Summer capture the dancefloor end, while The Real Thing bring Brit funk and R&B. Diana Ross, Chaka Khan and Lionel Richie deepen the Motown, contemporary R&B and pop soul thread, flanked by Barry White, Whitney Houston and Luther Vandross. The Jacksons and Vengaboys push bubblegum pop and eurodance energy, with Backstreet Boys and Madonna tying in dance-pop, club and teen pop. Elton John adds classic rock and piano-led pop for a one-off Leicester show.
