The O2 Academy Oxford run opens on 3 July 2026 with Inspiral Carpets headlining a bill steeped in britpop, indie pop, indie rock and Madchester heritage. The band’s organ-driven sound and catalogue, including material from compilation release “The Complete Singles” and tracks such as “96 Tears” and “Beast Inside”, give this show a strong link to late-80s and 90s British alternative rock. Stockport outfit The Rolling People join the line-up, bringing songs from singles like “Edge of the Knife”, “Reign” and “The Thief” to round out a guitar-led start to the venue’s July to September programme.
