Gerry Mcavoy's Band Of Friends bring their blues rock sound back to Belfast with a show at Empire Music Hall on 16 April 2027. Formed in 2012, the group features key alumni of the Rory Gallagher Band, including Gerry McAvoy and drummer Ted McKenna alongside guitarist Marcel Scherpenzeel. The trio focus on Rory Gallagher’s catalogue, with live favourites such as “A Million Miles Away”, “Bad Penny” and “Calling Card” at the heart of their set. Fans of their 2023 live release “21 Days Live” can expect the same road-tested energy in an intimate, loud room built for amplified blues rock.
