On 27 June 2026, The Mount Reading turns over to Pixies for a night rooted in alternative rock, indie rock and noise pop. Marking part of their 40th anniversary activity, the Boston band bring their loud-quiet dynamics and punk rock undercurrent to the Wasing hillside setting. Support comes from Birmingham group Gans, whose growing reputation on the UK live circuit adds a contemporary guitar outfit to the bill. Slotted between other Wasing dates, this show centres the series on serrated riffs and off-kilter melodies, contrasting sharply with the pop and folk-led nights around it.
