Crystal Palace Bowl’s 2 August 2026 Palace Bowl Presents date is devoted to contemporary gospel, with Kirk Franklin at the helm. His headline set draws on both contemporary gospel and traditional gospel, framing massed-voice arrangements and rhythmic production for an outdoor setting. Tasha Cobbs Leonard, Fred Hammond and Mercy Chinwo each bring their own take on modern worship music, from soaring ballads to groove-led praise songs. Nottingham’s Jerub opens the bill, connecting UK songwriting to the night’s gospel focus. Taken together, it is a choir-heavy, spiritually charged programme that uses the Bowl’s natural acoustics to full effect.
