The first night of 2 Nights of the New Wave lands at Wild at Heart in Germany on 24 April 2026, led by art pop and art rock figurehead Lene Lovich. Drawing on a catalogue that runs from the breakout single “Lucky Number” through to the retrospective “Toy Box: The Stiff Years 1978–1983”, her set folds sharp new wave rhythms into off-kilter melodic twists. Support comes from Darling Black, framing Lovich’s theatrically charged songbook in an intimate club setting. Across the bill, the emphasis stays firmly on art pop, art rock and new wave textures.
