The Longest Johns bring their Bristol-rooted folk and sea shanty sound to The Academy in Ireland on 8 May 2026, headlining a bill presented by MCD. Known for powerful harmonies and traditional songs, they draw from a catalogue that includes “(See You All) When Lockdown Ends”, “A Drop of Nelson's Blood” and “Anne Louise”. The show arrives as they build towards new releases like the single “White Squall” and the expansive “Pieces of Eight” project. Rotterdam-based collaborators Bog Bodies open the performance, adding their own idiosyncratic approach as main support to this folk-focused gig.
