Blacktop Mojo bring their Texas Checkmate Tour 2026 to Papillon on 11 April, leading a heavyweight rock bill. The Palestine, Texas band arrive with material from albums including their self-titled “Blacktop Mojo” and 2024 release “Pollen”, alongside live favourites such as “Burn the Ships”, “8000 Lines” and “Dream On”. Supporting are Brayden Stewart and Manchester’s Gorilla Riot, whose blend of blues, desert rock, grunge and hard rock adds a contrasting UK edge. With all three acts drawing from different corners of contemporary rock, this Papillon show offers a concentrated hit of riffs and songwriting craft in an intimate setting.
