The Hu lean into alternative metal and folk rock while weaving Central Asian throat singing and traditional Mongolian instrumentation, with songs from “The Real You”, “Echos of Thunder” and “Live at Glastonbury” in play. Skáld open with material from “Huldufólk”, “Ragnarök Rising” and “Winter Songs”, channelling Nordic and Viking narratives.
