Shynefest 2026 opens at Merrist Wood College on 29 May with Mania leading a bill that cuts across pop, merseybeat, pop rock and grunge. The British pop duo top a packed line-up featuring Hype Club, Penny Rebels and Mardy Bums, with The Upbeat Beatles bringing faithful merseybeat and pop rock takes on the Fab Four. Riot Weekend and The Sound Of Ac/dc add further guitar crunch, while Ghosts Of Seattle fly the flag for UK grunge. As the first of two Shynefest shows at Merrist Wood, this performance sets the tone for a weekend built around hook-heavy pop and distorted riffs.
