On 18 July 2026, DREAMLAND in Margate stages a joint bill from The Flaming Lips and The Beta Band, bringing together two distinct strains of leftfield guitar music. The Flaming Lips lead the show with their blend of alternative rock, experimental rock, indie rock and neo-psychedelia, drawing on a catalogue known for dense arrangements and vivid soundscapes. They are joined by The Beta Band, whose folktronica, indietronica and alternative rock leanings create a different kind of atmospheric, loop-driven pull.
