Downpour, the IDM alias of Chris Adams from Hood, takes over The Deaf Institute on 6 February with a set built from decades of exploratory electronic work. Drawing on releases like the EPs "Do you remember when it was all about the drums?", "4 More Insignificances" and "Windstorms Broken Microphones", alongside tracks such as "100 Years of Solitude" and "Darkness on the edge of the dancefloor", the performance places intricate rhythm programming and dense atmospherics into a live setting. In the Deaf Institute’s upstairs space, those textural details and off-kilter beats have room to stretch, offering a deep dive into UK-bred experimental electronics.
