The Eastbourne outfit specialise in brooding low-end and harsh atmospheres, channelling material from their 2024 album “Low End Scum”, including “Bob the Slob”, “Cleansing the Drone”, and “Sonic Mayonnaise”. Their sound pushes from slow, suffocating doom passages into raw black metal surges, with punk urgency cutting through the riffs. Underground metal at The Fulford Arms rarely leans this heavily into bleak textures and low frequencies, making this performance a focused showcase of Black Groove’s heaviest work.
