The opening night of Darkness Over Edinburgh on 16 October 2026 brings an extreme metal line-up to The Banshee Labyrinth. Heathen Deity lead the show, joined by Draugr’s melodic black metal, the industrial drone metal of Khost and the brutal death metal of Vile Apparition. Arghoslent add a further strand of death and melodic death metal, while Suffering Hour deepen the focus on blackened death metal. The Damned thread dance-rock, deathrock, gothic rock and horror punk through the bill, with Dead Letter completing a line-up that pushes from black metal to deathrock within one compact venue.
