On 6 February, Skyclad carry their celtic metal and folk metal tour into The Waterloo, following the Newcastle opener with another intimate club date. The band’s blend of celtic rock melodies, driving folk metal rhythms and a heavy edge draws on deep-cut material alongside tracks from “Forward Into the Past” and the era covered by “A Bellyful of Emptiness: The Very Best of the Noise Years 1991–1995”. With Al Batchelor on vocals and guitar, the set highlights both older and more recent corners of their catalogue. Trolød return in the support slot, maintaining continuity across the run’s early shows.
