January Blues Festival brings Curtis Salgado to 229 on 19 January 2026 for a one-off London show built firmly around blues and soul. The Portland bandleader draws on albums such as “Damage Control”, “The Beautiful Lowdown” and “Soul Shot”, plus songs like “20 Years of B.B. King”, “A Woman or the Blues” and “Bitter Tears”. Harmonica specialist Giles Robson appears in support, adding his hard-driving electric blues sound to the bill. Robbin Kapsalis Blues Band round out the line-up, making this 229 performance a concentrated hit of contemporary blues with strong soul inflections at the top of the bill.
