Rum Jungle hit The Hope & Ruin in Brighton on 11 February as part of the central stretch of their 16-date tour. Having already made their mark at this venue, the band revisit with a set built around their surf-rock-alt-pop catalogue, including "Recency Bias" highlights and singles such as "Coal Dust", "What’s Next" and "Rocketship". Their combination of alt-rock guitars, pop-minded choruses and laid-back groove beats suits the venue’s upstairs room, bridging the UK club dates and the larger London show. From Brighton, the tour moves directly to ELECTRIC BALLROOM, marking a step up in scale before crossing to mainland Europe.
