Squeeze arrive at O2 City Hall Newcastle on 16 November 2026, scaling their new wave, pop and rock material to a room built for detail and clarity. With a history that stretches back to the mid-70s and forward to "Trixies", the band’s set can move easily between eras. Billy Bragg opens the show with a solo turn rooted in anti-folk, folk and alternative rock, drawing from "The Roaring Forty | 1983–2023" as well as more recent songs. In this theatre setting, the interplay between Squeeze’s full-band arrangements and Bragg’s sparer approach becomes especially pronounced.
