The opening day of Vainstream 2026 at Am Hawerkamp in Germany leans hard into punk, metalcore and emo, with Rise Against at the top of the bill. Their hardcore punk and melodic hardcore anthems anchor a line-up that pulls in French metalcore outfit Landmvrks and UK melodic metalcore force Bury Tomorrow. All Time Low, Set It Off and Pennywise bring hook-laden pop punk, alternative rock and classic punk rock, while Loathe, Sleep Theory, Distant and Spiritbox push into djent, alternative metal, deathcore and progressive metalcore. Beatdown hardcore from Volatile Ways, plus sets by Get The Shot, Death Lens and others, round out a dense, heavy first-day show.
