On 24 June 2026, Blackweir Fields in Cardiff hosts The Cure for a one-off outdoor gig that leans into the band’s alternative rock, dance-rock and gothic roots. They are joined by The Twilight Sad, whose indie rock and post-punk sound deepens the darker edge of the bill, and The Joy Formidable, bringing dream pop, shoegaze and noise pop from Wales. Together the three acts map a line from brooding guitars to hazier textures, with each band approaching leftfield rock from a different angle while sharing a clear melodic streak.
