On 5 July 2026 David Gray brings the Past & Present Tour to The Piece Hall in Halifax, joined by The Divine Comedy. Gray’s set draws on alternative rock, contemporary folk and folk rock, foregrounding his songwriter roots, while The Divine Comedy add chamber pop, baroque pop and cocktail nation hues to the evening. Positioned near the end of the five-date summer run, this performance shows how the tour balances intimate, folk-inflected material with ornate art pop arrangements, using The Piece Hall’s open courtyard setting to link both acts’ emphasis on storytelling and carefully crafted melodies.
