Steel Over The Solent lands at The Wedgewood Rooms on 2 May 2026 with Elixir at the top of a firmly heavy bill. The long-running British heavy metal band headline this one-off Portsmouth show, joined by fellow NWOBHM veterans Saracen, whose melodic heavy metal has deep roots in the early ’80s scene. Dethonator add a newer strain of UK metal, drawing on traditional and power metal styles. Cutting across the distortion, Finnish band Power Surge bring raw punk energy to the line-up, setting a harder-edged contrast to the metal acts and underlining the event’s heavy, guitar-led focus.
