Blackbird Festival 2026 brings a stacked heavy line-up to Cardiff Castle on 27 June 2026, led by Alter Bridge and their mix of alternative metal, hard rock and post-grunge. Skindred add their hybrid of alternative metal, nu metal and rap rock, folding in reggae inflections for a different spin on heaviness. Florence Black bolster the rock core of the bill, while Cardinal Black open up the spectrum with indie rock, R&B and classic rock touches. As a standalone festival date, this show centres on guitars, groove and weight, with each band approaching rock and metal from its own angle.
