The opening night of Fisherman's Friends Festival on 22 May 2026 at Stithians Showground is led by Jools Holland, leaning into blues, boogie, boogie-woogie and British rhythm & blues with His Rhythm & Blues Orchestra. Andrew Roachford adds a pop rock and soul dimension, while Ruby Turner brings contemporary R&B and pop. Louise Marshall’s chamber and dream pop, plus Sumudu’s vocals, broaden the palette. Folk is strongly represented by Seth Lakeman’s folk rock, Sharon Shannon’s Irish folk tunes and The Longest Johns’ sea shanties, alongside Kernow King, Porthleven Town Band and Fisherman's Friends & Friends on a multi-artist festival bill.
