Yaelokre brings their Meadowlark project to O2 Academy 2 Birmingham on 28 October 2026, headlining a show that leans into theatrical, narrative-driven songwriting. Performing under a cast of storybook personas drawn from releases like the EPs “Origins” and “Composing Colentine”, Yaelokre blurs fable and melody with tracks such as “Harpy Hare”, “Hartebeest”, “Cole’s Response” and “To douse a scalded tongue”. Canadian folk musician Ben Caplan opens the night, drawing on Eastern European folk traditions and poetic songwriting heard on albums including “Birds With Broken Wings”, “Old News” and “recollection”, setting up a storytelling-heavy bill in Birmingham.
