Big Country bring their long-running fusion of alternative rock and Celtic rock to Wylam Brewery in Newcastle upon Tyne on 6 December 2026. The Scottish group’s trademark sound, combining ringing guitar lines with anthemic choruses and Celtic-tinged melodies, has evolved across releases such as “The Journey” and the anthology “Out Beyond the River: The Compulsion Years Anthology”. This Wylam Brewery show falls within the Big Country Redux touring era, reflecting the band’s continued celebration of their history and the legacy of founding members including the late Stuart Adamson, in a setting well-suited to their expansive, guitar-led new wave and new romantic leanings.
