Tortoise bring their long-running blend of electronica, experimental rock, jazz rock and intricate instrumental work to QMU in Glasgow on 1 November 2026. Emerging in the early 1990s, the Chicago group have spent decades reshaping post-rock with layered rhythms, interlocking guitars and synths, and a deep interest in studio-crafted sound. Their recent work, including the album “The Catastrophist” and the “Oganesson Remixes” EP, has pushed further into jazz-inflected ambience and off-kilter electronics, leading towards new material on “Touch”. This QMU performance offers a rare chance to hear that catalogue unfold in a focused live setting.
