James Taylor Quartet bring their Hammond-driven acid jazz and jazz sound to Band On The Wall in Manchester on 5 February 2027. Active since 1985, the group fuse jazz, funk and cinematic touches, heard across albums such as “Man in the Hot Seat”, “People Get Ready (We’re Moving On)” and “Soundtrack From Electric Black”. Their catalogue also includes tracks like “Acid Jazz Samba” and “A Taste of Cherry”, signalling a set built around groove-heavy instrumentals and sharp arrangements. This Manchester show is a standalone date, giving space for an extended performance from the Quartet.
