Vernons Future

Vernons Future are a British indie group with roots stretching back to the vibrant music scene of the 1980s. Originally known as The Vernons, their acclaimed debut album ‘Smithdown Road’ received plaudits for its unassuming charm and pure pop sensibility. After a hiatus, the band resurfaced as Vernons Future, delivering their second album ‘Aquaplaning’ in 2022—earning glowing reviews for its transition from art-rock influences to a Britpop-inspired sound that resonates with fans of XTC, Blur, Echo & the Bunnymen, and The Teardrop Explodes.

The band’s live music presence continues to grow, with several notable gigs scheduled. In September 2025, Vernons Future will support Noel Burke performing Reverberation at West Hampstead Arts Club, before taking the stage at The Spice of Life in London with a diverse lineup. November 2025 includes support slots for The Real People at O2 Academy2 Islington, as well as another appearance alongside Noel Burke at Rough Trade Liverpool. As a headliner, Vernons Future are set to play Aces & Eights in Tufnell Park, promising an engaging concert experience for both dedicated followers and new listeners.
