Starsailor’s piano-led alternative rock joins Feeder and Shed Seven at Isle of Wight Festival 2026.
Starsailor stand as one of Britain’s most celebrated alternative rock and indie rock groups, acclaimed for their emotive songwriting and powerful live music performances. Formed in 2000 at Wigan and Leigh College, England, the band comprises James Walsh, James Stelfox, Ben Byrne, and Barry Westhead. Their discography features acclaimed releases such as "All This Life" and the recent studio album "Where the Wild Things Grow," which arrived in March 2024. In October 2025, Starsailor unveiled their first live album, "Starsailor With Strings: Live From Liverpool," capturing the band’s dynamic energy and intricate arrangements in a unique orchestral setting.
Starsailor have recently headlined a series of concerts across the UK and Europe, with notable shows at venues such as O2 Academy Manchester, Albert Hall Manchester, Northumbria University in Newcastle, Limelight in Belfast, The Academy in Dublin, and GAZARTE in Athens. Their 2025 live dates also included performances at ROYAL in Patra and WE in Thessaloniki. In these headline concerts, support acts such as Ed Harcourt, GIRL BAND, GIRLBAND!, and youth killed it added further vibrancy to the gig experience.
Looking ahead to June 2026, Starsailor will join the Isle of Wight Festival lineup as a support act alongside headliners like Lewis Capaldi and Calvin Harris, and will perform headline shows including at The Forum in Tunbridge Wells. With new music, celebrated live albums, and festival appearances, Starsailor continue to define the UK live music landscape.
