Radical Dance Faction

Radical Dance Faction, often known simply as RDF, are a genre-defying band from England blending dub and post-punk influences with fiercely political lyricism. Founded in Hungerford in 1986 by Chris Bowsher, Radical Dance Faction have carved out a distinctive niche within the British live music scene, recognised for their fusion of punk, dub, and ska elements. Their output is marked by spoken-word lyrics that confront social and political themes, underscoring their reputation as a boundary-pushing collective.

In April 2024, Radical Dance Faction released the EP “Cockroach Town”, furthering their legacy of innovative, message-driven music. This followed the October 2023 album “Welcome to the Edge”, demonstrating the band’s ongoing creative momentum. Their extensive discography, which includes pivotal releases like “Daydream Dystopia” and “Ammunition”, evidences both longevity and a restless spirit of experimentation within the realms of post-punk and dub. Notably, Radical Dance Faction headlined at the Dublin Castle in London in July 2025, sharing the bill with Punk Soul Brothers, and continue to make their mark on stages across the UK.

With an anticipated headline appearance at The Fighting Cocks in Kingston in March 2026, Radical Dance Faction remain an unmissable force in live performance. To stay updated on upcoming gigs and new releases, be sure to follow Radical Dance Faction and explore their next live shows.
