Heartworms
Jojo Orme; UK, Gothic, post-punk
Heartworms, the project helmed by Jojo Orme, has quickly distinguished itself in the UK's alternative and gothic rock scenes. London-based and led by a singular vision, Heartworms crafts an intense, post-punk sound that resonates with deep emotion and atmospheric textures. Recent releases include the highly anticipated single "Extraordinary Wings (Laurie Vincent remix)", which arrived in April 2025, as well as the full-length album "Glutton for Punishment" released in February 2025–evidence of an artist in vibrant creative stride.
On the live circuit, Heartworms has built a reputation for compelling performances. In March 2026, Heartworms joined Sleaford Mods as a support act at O2 Academy Brixton in London, following a similar high-profile billing at 3Olympia in Dublin and venues across the UK such as Leeds, Manchester, Liverpool, Glasgow, and Cardiff. These tour dates placed Heartworms alongside established names like Sleaford Mods and Orbital, amplifying their reach across the British and Irish live music landscape. Heartworms also took to the stage at Brighton Psych Fest in August 2025, supporting LSD AND THE SEARCH FOR GOD at multiple Brighton venues, and headlined a significant show at London’s Scala in December 2025.
With a catalogue that includes tracks such as "A Comforting Notion," "Jacked," and "Warplane," Heartworms continues to gain traction among fans of leftfield rock and innovative concerts. For those seeking new sounds on the cutting edge of alternative music, keep an eye on Heartworms' socials for fresh gigs and announcements.
