GURT

GURT, based in London, stands as a commanding force in the British metal scene, bringing their signature blend of doom and sludge to audiences since 2010. Known for their uncompromising sound and heavy riffage, GURT have consistently pushed boundaries within the sludge and doom metal genres. Their recorded output includes standout albums such as “Bongs of Praise” (2019) and “Skullossus” (2017), with their most recent LP, “Satan etc.,” released in June 2024. This latest record continues the band’s tradition of delivering weighty, groove-laden metal with a distinctive UK edge.

Committed to the live music experience, GURT have cemented their reputation as a must-see act. In January 2026, they headlined the “Punk Transsexualism” concert at Signature Brew in Haggerston, London, demonstrating their capacity to captivate crowds with a headlining set. The group’s dynamic shows are recognised for their energy and the unique atmosphere they bring to the UK’s underground metal circuit.

GURT’s presence on tour dates remains in demand, with appearances supporting established acts including Carlton Melton at Daltons in Brighton in September 2026. For fans of innovative doom and sludge metal gigs, following GURT’s channels and checking upcoming concerts is highly recommended to catch their powerful live performances and stay updated on their latest releases.
