Do Nothing
Do Nothing are a standout force from Nottingham’s vibrant independent music scene, deftly blending indie rock with the angular urgency of post-punk revival. The group’s artfully sardonic lyrics and striking arrangements have found a dedicated audience, underscored by their consistent output. Their engaging energy can be heard across a range of releases, including the acclaimed “Snake Sideways” album (June 2023) and the “Glueland EP”. The band’s sonic evolution continues, with a string of releases such as the “Versions” EP (November 2023) and the single “Summer of Hate”, set for release in October 2024. Fans can also look forward to their anticipated new album “Friend World”, arriving in November 2026; the lead single “Stars” offers a compelling preview of what’s to come.
Live, Do Nothing have proven their ability to captivate and command, most recently headlining at The Forum in August 2024. Their sharp, danceable grooves and distinctive vocal delivery translate seamlessly to the stage, making each concert a memorable experience. The band are also set to perform at notable events in the coming years, including a performance at FOOTFEST 2026 in Hebden Bridge, where they will support headliners FEET, and a billing at Indie Courtyard Fest supporting Darles Chickens (aka Declan McKenna) at The Bodega in Nottingham.
With their compelling live shows, inventive take on indie rock, and a steady flow of new recordings, Do Nothing remain one of the UK’s most intriguing live acts. Follow Do Nothing to stay updated on new releases and to catch their upcoming gigs and tour dates.
