Catalyst Crime

Catalyst Crime is a symphonic metal group originally conceived in 2017 by vocalist and composer Zoë Federoff, drummer Gerit Lamm, and guitarist Kaelen Sarakinis. With a line-up rounded out by orchestral composer and keyboardist Jonah Weingarten, bassist Matt Federoff, and guitarist Chena, the band has established a signature sound that seamlessly unites cinematic orchestration with the driving force of melodic metal. Produced by Alexander Krull at Mastersound Studios, their debut self-titled album, released in October 2021, received attention for its dramatic arrangements and vivid storytelling, featuring tracks such as "Break Even", "Chasing the Ghost", and "Cognitive Dissonance".

Renowned for their dynamic live shows, Catalyst Crime supported Leaves’ Eyes across an extensive European and UK tour in spring 2024. Their live performances have become a hallmark of the contemporary symphonic metal scene, noted for sweeping orchestral sections, powerful vocals, and intricate guitar work. In March 2026, Catalyst Crime will again take the stage as a support act for Leaves’ Eyes at The Underworld in London, continuing their reputation for commanding support slots on high-profile tour dates.

With a new album anticipated in spring 2026 and the recent release of the emotionally charged single “Cursebreaker”, Catalyst Crime continues to push the boundaries of symphonic metal.
