Flavours

UK psych band

Flavours are a Brighton-based four-piece whose vivid take on psychedelic and alternative rock has quickly set them apart in the UK’s esoteric music scene. Centred on the dual songwriting and vocal partnership of Sam Turner and Ben Archibald, with Jude Allenby and Martin Slade Jnr completing the lineup, Flavours draw inspiration from the colourful sound palette of ’60s and ’70s psychedelia, merging classic influences with a contemporary flair. Their debut single, “Coloured Image”, landed in May 2024 and immediately caught the attention of discerning tastemakers, with Line of Best Fit lauding them as a “psychedelic stick of Brighton Rock.”

Their subsequent singles, “Still Heavy” (Feb 2025) and “Ground Up”, reinforced their reputation for crafting dreamy, groove-laden anthems with an immersive edge. These tracks not only showcased their modern production sensibilities but also earned repeated praise from respected music outlets. Flavours’ commitment to live music is rooted in Brighton’s thriving grassroots scene, which has fostered their self-promoted, sold-out shows at venues such as Concorde 2, Patterns, and a landmark headline at the Green Door Store. Summer 2024 saw them light up the UK festival circuit, with dynamic performances at Wilderness, Latitude, Summer By the River, and Brighton’s 234 Fest.

Looking ahead to September 2026, Flavours will support ivebeeneatingfruit at GDS, underscoring their growing presence on the live circuit. With their debut EP on the horizon and an ambitious UK tour in motion, now is the time to keep a close eye on Flavours. Follow the band and stay tuned for new releases and gig announcements to experience their mesmerising live shows firsthand.
