Sanguijuelas del Guadiana

Sanguijuelas del Guadiana, a Spanish group formed by Carlos, Juan, and Víctor, has carved out a distinct place in the contemporary music scene by intertwining rural tradition with modern influences. Rooted in the heart of Spain, their sound defies easy categorisation, merging rock and roll spirit with elements that reflect the evolving realities of rural life in the Siberia Extremeña region. The band's autobiography-laced lyrics resonate widely, capturing both the struggles and joys of their generation while drawing on the authenticity and values of their homeland.

Their latest album, Revolá, released in May 2025, stands as an evocative timeline—journeying from childhood summers to the uncertainties of adulthood. Songs such as "100 AMAPOLAS," "El Estandarte," "Intacto," and the title track "Revolá" showcase their ability to seamlessly blend traditional textures with contemporary production, touching on themes of identity, modernity, and the persistent ties to one's roots. Their music is noted for its raw honesty, with melodies and lyrics that invite listeners to reflect on the universal experience of finding one's place in a changing world.

Sanguijuelas del Guadiana continues to bring their distinctive energy to live music stages with performances across Europe. In May 2027, the band is set to headline at the Grand Social Ballroom in Ireland, sharing their compelling vision and vibrant sound with new audiences.
