Deadbolt

Deadbolt, the enigmatic group hailing from San Diego, California, are revered for their distinctive blend of psychobilly and rockabilly, drawing on noir Americana and surf tinges to forge a truly unique sound. Since their formation in 1988, Deadbolt have carved out a cult following with their gritty, often darkly witty music, which stands apart in the American rock landscape. Iconic tracks like “(Found Him in) El Paso,” “Billy’s Dead,” and “Burn, Lil’ Debby, Burn” showcase their penchant for storytelling and unorthodox songcraft.

The band’s discography is a testament to their creative longevity, with live albums such as “Live Friday the 13th Massacre” (2019) and “Live In Berlin Wild At Heart 21.11.09” capturing their raw stage presence while studio efforts like “Buy a Gun - Get a Free Guitar” (2011) highlight their trademark, genre-blurring approach. Deadbolt’s music is a favourite for those drawn to the esoteric realms of psychobilly and rockabilly live acts, offering a concert experience that is atmospheric and unforgettably offbeat.

In December 2026, Deadbolt will headline Club Academy in Manchester with their show “DEADBOLT - THE BLACKOUT AFTERPARTY,” further cementing their reputation for compelling live gigs. Fans of psychobilly and rockabilly music should keep a close eye on Deadbolt’s concert listings—follow the band for the latest tour dates and make sure not to miss their upcoming shows.
